THE PSKAI-Takai Gijutsu Head Quarters (HQ) collected a total of seven gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronzes in the just-concluded Speaker Pantaleon D. Alvarez Visayas and Mindanao Karatedo Championship at the NCCC Mall in Tagum City.
Steven Paul Gica clinched three golds for PSKAI-Takai Gijutsu. His tandem with Christain Clarke Robles topped the double boys kumite. Gica also ruled the boys 14-15 advanced kata and boys 14-15 kumite.
Badilles, for his part, captured two golds (boys 6-7 novice kata and boys 7-8 kumite) while Ma. Alexandra Barriga won the women’s -50kg kumite gold. The silvers were courtesy of Rikki Encabo (girls 14-15 novice kata), Christian Bern Tacay (boys 7-8), Miles Celiz ( men’s -67kg novice kumite), Barriga (girls 16-17 kumite and girls advance kata), Badilles (boys 7-8 intermediate kata), Kherlvien Caranay (boys 14-15 kumite).
The bronze winners were Leander Boquia (men’s -60 kgs kumite), Robles (men’s -55kg kumite), Alexander Blase (boys 8-9 intermediate kata), Neo Telewik (boys 14-15 novice kata), Encabo (girls 14-15 kumite), Trisha Mariel Bucayan (girls 14-15 novice kata and girls 14-15 intermediate kumite).
